Help for the Music Discovery Experience

How do I earn Points?
You earn one Point for every dollar you spend in the MDN Store. You earn additional Points by completing various MDE Events and Activities, and then completing a Registration process to log the Points to your account.

How do I spend my Points?
Visit the MDN Store. Your Points recap is displayed when you sign in. You may use them to purchase all items in the MDN Store.

Is there anything, beyond music CDs in the MDN Store, that I can spend my Points on?
Yes. Depending the Reward Level you have attained, special reward categories are displayed in your store menu when you sign in. There all kinds of rewards you can purchase. It is though important to know that rewards are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. We only have a limited number of each reward available. When a certain reward is sold out, it is gone forever. The MDN Store displays the number of each reward available at that particular time.

What is a Reward Level?
When you first join MDE your account is established at Reward Level I. As you earn additional Points, your Reward Level changes, increasing in number and value.

What is the value of the Reward Levels?
The higher your Reward Level the higher your discount for purchases made through the MDN Store. This includes discounts on your rewards. Also, the higher your level, the greater number of rewards you may pick from. This is a double wammy! As your level increases, not only are you offered a greater number of rewards, but your cost for those rewards is decreased. In other words, your points become more valuable and your points and money goes a longer way as your level increases.

May I purchase the rewards using money, as well as Points?
Yes. You may purchase everything in the MDN Store, including rewards, using any combination of Points and dollars. You may save up your Points and purchase something larger, our you may spend them as you earn them. Remember, the price you pay for the items is based on your level. The higher your level, the lower your cost.

How long is my membership active?
For one year. After the first year, you must participate somehow in MDE or your MDE membership expires. Participate means either making a purchase or earning points through some MDE Event or Activity. When your membership expires, all levels are removed and your points are forfeited. If you wish to re-join MDE, you must reapply and start over again from Level I with zero points. During the second and future years, when you participate in MDE and your membership is current, it is automatically renewed for one additional year. In other words, your membership is active one full year from your last participation in MDE.

Is there any other way my membership may be terminated?
Yes, when your email or postal mail address becomes defunct. If we can't find you, via email and/or postal mail, we reserve the right to terminate your MDE membership and MDN account. It is your responsibility to keep your email and postal address current in your MDN account. We will make every effort to try to locate you through your registered email and/or postal address before we delete your account and membership, but if we fail to find you after a number of trys, we reserve the right to delete your membership and account.

After I signed up for the MDE Membership, and I sign in at the MDN Store, I don't see my account information, including my Point balance?
When you sign in at the MDN Store, you are automatically returned to the MDN Store home page. Select ACCOUNT from the top blue menu bar and you will then see your account information, including your Point balance.
